On March 13, 2026, the Consul General of Georgia in Thessaloniki, Gela Japaridze, met with the President of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ioannis Masoutis.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to enhancing direct contacts between the business communities. In this context, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing joint business forums and meetings, which would encourage information exchange between Georgian and Greek business representatives, the search for new partners, and the development of investment projects. The Consul General emphasized that Georgia offers an attractive environment for business and investment in the region, and that deepening economic cooperation with Greece is an important direction.

The parties agreed to continue close communication and working-level meetings aimed at planning and organizing business forums, as well as deepening cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry, which will further contribute to the strengthening of trade and economic relations between the two countries and the development of new partnership initiatives.
