The meeting covered issues of importance to Georgian compatriots living in Greece, as well as the role of the diaspora in preserving and promoting Georgian identity, culture, and traditions, and in supporting Georgia’s national interests.
During the meeting, Archimandrite Ghvtisavar Gobejishvili presented the sacred scripture - the “Holy Gospels (featuring miniatures from the Mokvi Gospel)” in commemoration of the 1,700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as the state religion. This edition is an expanded version of the historical text and was published by Archimandrite Ghvtisavar Gobejishvili with the support of the Government of Abkhazia, the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, and the Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts.
